Synopsis
Art Connect reveals the impact that art and creativity had in a group of 'at risk' teenagers from Laventille, the most marred by violence community in Trinidad and Tobago. The story is told by these children who had access to different forms of art to express themselves.
By talking, painting, singing, dancing and filming they will allow us to come into their world.

Director: Miquel Galofré
Miquel is a filmmaker & photographer from Barcelona based in T&T. With broad experience in documentary film production, television and commercials, he has filmed around the world. He moved to Trinidad 10 years ago, where his passion for photography exploded. His posts on Instagram are like a ray of Caribbean sun. His work show empathy and sensitivity about social justice topics trying to help to reduce the negative impact of stigma. Miquel looks for hope and magic even in the darkest places. His acclaimed films ’Songs of Redemption’ and ‘Art connect’ got more than 20 international awards. With ten Caribbean films in ten years, he currently works as creative director at T&T Rocks.
