Director’s Bio: Katherine Street (née Murray-Satchell)
Katherine Street (née Murray-Satchell) is an award-winning independent filmmaker, Philadelphia native, and proud alumna of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Recently, she has taken the helm of writer/producer for short films, an interview series, and her flagship web series "The New Adult.” The series was featured in publications such as Shadow and Act and Black Girl Nerds, and is currently streaming on the platform Kweli TV. She recently wrote and directed a dramatic short film, “Cycles,” which takes a break from her comedic side to explore a tragically flawed relationship between two lovers. A cinephile at heart, she tells stories that showcase diverse, relatable characters, hoping to give a deeper understanding of humanity with each new project.
