Synopsis
A modern woman is disowned by her traditional Hindu parents for marrying worse than beneath her caste, an outsider (Dalit). When the same feelings that gave her the courage to follow her heart are captured by another man, Jenny files for divorce. After learning her husband’s terms of acceptance, Jenny is pushed to the edges of her own sanity, forced to live with the worst settlement imaginable...getting everything she ever wanted.
A Happy Divorce explores the sources of true pleasure, peace, meaning, and hope. When we finally get to the point that we get all that we want, do we find that it is all that we need?

In 2018 he directed the first season of Investigation Discovery Channel's 'Primal Instinct' and came on as a Producer on the Animated feature film 'Pierre The Pigeon Hawk' starring Nick Cannon and Whoopi Goldberg.
Since May of 2016 Jamal Hodge's films have been an official selection in over 100 Film Festivals, and have won 40+awards including The Vanguard Award (Best of The Fest) at the Hip Hop Film Festival (2020), Best Director at Genre Blast (2020), Best Director at The Hip Hop Film Festival (2019), Best Short Film at The People’s Film Festival (2019), And the Audience Choice Award at the Blackstar Film Festival (2016).
