After an unexpected one-night stand, two women at very different stages of their lives, share an even more intimate morning after. 

Synopsis:

tender is a simple story about the bonds between Black women. The film sets out to capture the power of bonds shared between Black women and explores emotional intimacy, sexuality, and loss, from a Black woman lens, which we don’t see nearly enough. tender is also about how we can find both joy and connection in unlikely places -- if we allow ourselves to.

Director’s Bio: Felicia Pride

Baltimore native Felicia Pride is a writer on Ava DuVernay’s QUEEN SUGAR and is currently developing the feature DEEPER with Universal Pictures and Will Packer Productions. She sold a drama pilot to NBC’s Universal Cable Productions and is the co-writer and executive producer of the film REALLY LOVE, produced by MACRO, which won a Special Jury Prize at SXSW. Felicia is a Film Independent Screenwriting Lab Fellow and a graduate of NBC’s Writers on the Verge program as a comedy writer. Prior to, she worked as a film distribution executive and an impact producer, and is the author of six books, including The Message: 100 Life Lessons from Hip-Hop’s Greatest Songs. Felicia holds an M.A. in writing from Emerson College and runs The Create Daily, a resource for underrepresented storytellers that she founded in 2012.
